OPPORTUNITY The HR Operations Coordinator will support the Human Resources Department and Green Dot Employees utilizing excellent customer service techniques and a passion for getting things right. This person will play a key role in all daily transactions, resolves moderately complex to difficult issues in close partnership with and guidance from HR leadership, and provides support for diverse projects and initiatives. This is an opportunity to explore the HR realm from the front lines and develop into an HR professional and leader. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as a primary contact for daily data entry into, and maintenance of, Green Dots HRIS system, Workday. This includes, but is not limited to: *Processing employee transactions, including but not limited to: new hires, job changes, terminations, and other updates to employee records. *Conducting weekly, biweekly, and monthly data audits to ensure data accuracy. Troubleshooting employee issues and/or questions that may or may not be related to the HRIS system. *Creating job aids and standard operating procedures to equip the HR team, key partners and the organization as a whole for appropriate self-service. *Generating and distributing reports (including but not limited to EEOC reporting in partnership with the HR Analyst/Generalist). Provide employees with accurate, consistent and timely responses, as well as solutions regarding HR related questions and issues. Escalate issues and questions appropriately to ensure appropriate resolution. Responsible for varying administrative/office support and transactional processing including, but not limited to: *Drafting, revising, sending out, and storing official letters (i.e., offer letters, compensation change letters, etc.) to both new hires and current employees. *Completing applicable verifications of experience and/or employment on behalf of current and former employees. *Reviewing transcripts and verifications of experience to assess compensation rates for applicable employees (i.e., teachers and counselors). *Assigning all applicable employees to the required mandatory reporting, blood borne pathogen and preventing workplace-harassment training sessions per policy. *Compiling and preparing requested data for annual charter authorizer audits. *Responding to unemployment claims. *Maintaining and updating federal, state, county, and city-law compliance posters. *Maintaining employee personnel files. *General filing, scanning, and faxing. Partner closely with the HR Team and internal/external stakeholders to implement continuous process improvements Perform additional duties as assigned including contributing to diverse HR projects and initiatives. This job operates in a professional office environment, is largely sedentary, and utilizes typical office equipment (computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.). Generally, normal business hours are 8:30am 5:30pm, Monday - Friday. These hours may vary and could require occasional evening and weekend work based on organizational needs (your manager will confirm your schedule with you depending upon the requirements/expectations of your role). Minimal or no travel required, other than visits to local school sites (as needed). QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, plus some related experience with a desire to develop into an HR professional. One to 3 years of HR experience, including Workday HRIS system knowledge, is a plus. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Demonstrates high levels of time management, organization, prioritization, and follow-up/follow-through skills. Effective problem-solving, critical thinking and ability to clearly present information to individuals and groups. Must possess strong computer literacy skills, including but not limited to a proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Quick learner who can then apply new learnings to practice, such as it relates to employment law, labor law and general HR terminology to support compliance efforts. Credibly and promptly respond to common inquires or issues from employees of all levels, as well as ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Maintain strict confidentiality as it relates to candidates and employees. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and apply effective change management strategies to navigate the culture effectively. COMPENSATION The hourly rate for this position is between $23.55 and $33.17, and considers the individuals relevant experience and skill-set.
