    PATH is currently recruiting a Senior Manager – Project Management, who will be accountable for project communications, milestone tracking, resource planning, financials, risk assessment and contingency planning and escalation and resolution of critical issues with the project leads. He/she will be reporting to Lead – Business Performance, South Asia.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Deliver an annual portfolio of high-profile family health, infectious diseases, health systems and digital health projects (in terms of complexity, risk and/or business criticality) through effective management of schedule, scope, quality and risk, and, in coordination with PADMs, financial management practices.
    • Build, lead and mentor a team of project management professionals to enhance delivery of projects specific requirements defined by stakeholders by leveraging project management tools.
    • Develop the overall project vision, approach, objectives and key deliverables; identify/track key measures of success.
    • Develop a comprehensive project plan, incorporating deliverables, milestones, accountabilities, communication plan and timelines.
    • Ensure the appropriate management of work plans and donor deliverables by working closely with the technical teams and project leads to oversee and keep track of implementation of activities and finalization of deliverables in line with deadlines and appropriate approvals.
    • Ensure PATH and donor defined standards, tools, and norms for activity planning, management, communication, reporting and standard operating procedures are reinforced and adhered to in the execution of the project.
    • Coordinate team meetings, define meeting agendas, strategic direction/questions, and provide insights into key risks, challenges, and opportunities that should be presented to project team and/or donor or government. 
    • Log, track and escalate high priority project issues that may impact ability to deliver a quality project according to plan.
    • Work with the technical team to lead the technical writing of routine project reports to donor and government and assist technical team members with writing project documents and editing drafts in an effort ensure the highest-level possible activity outputs and deliverables. 
    • Support the Business Performance team with development of concept notes and technical proposals for new funding opportunities for both new and existing donors.

     

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

     

    • Minimum of 12 years’ experience and demonstrated skills in project management and team management.
    • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent in relevant discipline.
    • Knowledge of project management, project reporting and risk management tools. Certification in project management preferred.
    • Previous experience working in cross-functional teams (or a matrixed organizational structure).
    • Strong communication skills, capacity to understand situations and project scenario and translate effectively into communication collaterals for stakeholders and partners.
    • Well-organized and attention to details with good follow-through skills.
    • Excellent negotiation skills.
    • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively independently and in a team.
    • Excellent command over spoken and written English, and Hindi.
    • Excellent MS Office skills (especially Word, and PowerPoint).
