A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available at the Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM) and VA Boston. The successful candidate will participate in an NIA grant-funded Boston Early Adversity and Mortality Study (BEAMS; MPIs: Lewina Lee, Dan Mroczek). BEAMS uses administrative data linkage to create a prospective, birth-to-death dataset based on three Boston-based longitudinal cohorts (Normative Aging Study, and the Grant and Glueck cohorts, which comprise the Harvard Study of Adult Development). The Fellow will conduct secondary data analyses to evaluate lifespan pathways linking dimensions of early experiences to later-life health outcomes. Opportunities to join related projects considering the role of psychosocial stress exposure on lifespan health, and mechanisms which transmit or alter the effects of stress on health, are available. Additional work will include data management, preparation of manuscripts and scientific presentations, and assisting with grant applications. The Fellow will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers in Psychology, Psychiatry, Epidemiology, and Economics from BU, VA Boston, Northwestern University, and Massachusetts General Hospital.
