    PERSONAL TRAINER- ADVOCATE GOOD SAMARITAN HEALTH & WELLNESS CENTER

    Part-time (12 hours per week)

    2 evenings per week from 5:00PM to 9:00PM and 1 weekend from 8:00AM to 12:00PM

    HealthFitness is looking for PERSONAL TRAINERS to join the fitness team at our ADVOCATE GOOD SAMARITAN HEALTH & WELLNESS CENTER client site in DOWNERS GROVE, IL! Our Personal Trainers are true professionals. Their sole responsibility is to design customized workout programs and train our members based on their needs. You will be responsible for conducting fitness testing and assessments, advising participants of results, providing one-on-one personal training to members participating in the program, and educating them about the fundamentals of strength and cardiovascular training, as well as the proper and safe use of applicable equipment. 

     

     WHAT'S NEEDED:

    • Must be at least 18 years old.
    • Current Personal Training certification from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved provider.
    • Current Adult CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
    • Flu vaccine required.
    • This client site requires full COVID-19 vaccination as an essential job function. HealthFitness adheres to all federal, state and local COVID-19 vaccination regulations as well as all client COVID-19 vaccination requirements and will obtain the necessary information from candidates prior to employment to ensure compliance.     THE ATHLETIC INTERN IS A PART-TIME POSITION. IF INTERESTED IN THIS POSITION, ALL RESUMES AND QUESTIONS MAY BE DIRECTED TO DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS DAVID STONE, (STONEYD@BU.EDU).

     

    1. Enthusiasm, knowledge, and compassion for working with young adults in the areas of athletics, physical education, and recreation.
    2. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.
    3. Desire to collaborate and ability to manage projects with little oversight.
    4. Ability to promote respect and sportsmanship in all situations.
    5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite applications, and social media tools. Experience with graphic design or photography is helpful.
    6. CPR certified, or willing to obtain certification.
    7. Successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check, as well as all onboarding forms required by BU Human Resources.
    8. Valid driver’s license, along with completion of the BU Van Driver Safety course, and background check of driving record.
