The Financial Manager is to manage, under the supervision of the Director, the financial operations of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and its research programs.
Oversee spending and recovery for the departmental budgets, start-up monies, and research grants; to establish and maintain fiscal responsibility in purchasing, travel, and payroll procedures.
Develop and administer mechanisms for reconciling departmental accounting reports with those of the College of Engineering, Grant and Contract Accounting, and the University.
Assist the Director and the Chairman in preparing the annual budget, obtaining grants, and establishing financial ties with other departments, universities, departments, and grant funding agencies. To assist the Director in the daily administrative operations of the Department.
