In this position, we are looking for a part time mechanical engineering student who is able to design parts in solid works that can be in turn provided to the machine shop for fabrication. The position demands a certain level of independence, organization, attention to detail and knowledge of solidworks. The employee will liaison with graduate students, postdocs and technicians in the lab and will need to understand the needs of my laboratory. The work in itself demands iteration and willingness to change designs as needed depending on use case. The projects are not time sensitive and can be completed in a part time fashion over a few weeks. The position does not demand the sophistication of an engineer who has many years of experience in Solidworks since the projects themselves are relatively simple. The position therefore is ideally suited to undergraduate mechanical engineering students who regularly use solidworks.

HS Diploma required and some Mechanical Engineering experience with Solidworks
