  • Responsibilities

    The Department of Restorative Sciences & Biomaterials seeks applicants for the position of Director of Digital Dental Laboratories (DDDL). This full-time faculty position will oversee in-house production and education for all digital dental services, manage and ensure compliance with digital workflows and processes, organize digital equipment maintenance, and facilitate all laboratory services including in-house milling, sintering and 3D printing of surgical guides, diagnostic models, crowns and bridges, dentures, aligners, mouth guards and other digitally fabricated restorations or appliances. DDDL will coordinate training on equipment and software to faculty and students on digitally designed and fabricated restorations.

     

    REQUIREMENTS

     

    • CDT (Certified Dental Technician).

    • 5+ years of dental laboratory experience in digital technology (Education may count towards experience).

    • Outstanding communication skills and teaching/trainer experience.

    • Technical competency with computers, databases, electronic folders and records organization.

    • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, technical environment.

    • Ability to work independently and to manage people and processes with minimal oversight.

    • Familiarity with an electronic health record databases and HIPAA regulations.
