The Amyloidosis Center is looking for a bench scientist with experience in biochemistry and molecular biology. This position requires on-site work. Working hours can be flexible and some tasks can be carried out remotely, but we expect that the majority of the time will be spent in the laboratory. We are a multidisciplinary group carrying out basic, translational and clinical research passionate about rare diseases. You will perform mostly routine procedures including cloning, immunoassays, cell culture and protein purification. The Incumbent will process clinical samples and help to lead our archives. She/he will also supply to experimental design and data analysis and help to supervise trainees including undergraduate students. This position is junior but it offers scope for meaningful professional development. We will provide specific training, and the incumbent will have opportunities to learn new skills, gain experience and author publications based on his/her work. This position is funded for one year initially, with the possibility for longer-term employment.
