    PATH is collaborating with the Directorate of Medical Education, Chhattisgarh to improve Medical Education and specialty services given by Medical College hospitals in the state. Accordingly, PATH proposes to establish a Program Management Unit in the Directorate of Medical Education, Chhattisgarh to support the state in monitoring and revamping medical education in government medical colleges and improve the quality of services provided.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    The Lead-PMU will play a crucial role in strategizing medical colleges’ operations, and processes, devising departmental strategies and managing infrastructure and budget planning to ensure that each facility provides patients with the best care and treatment.

    • Provide technical assistance to the Directorate of Medical Education to operationalize and strengthen the state’s medical colleges.
    • Devise Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) to establish and streamline the overall operations of the state’s medical colleges and attached hospitals
    • Support the implementation of existing guidelines and policies and further integration with other departments (NMC) toward operationalizing and strengthening medical colleges in the state.
    • Ensure programs and services are implemented at the highest standards and patients receive the highest level of care. Responsible for monitoring and updating policies and procedures to include regulatory changes.
    • Support state in preparing the state action plan for revamping the medical education
    • Support state in preparing the action plan for strengthening the quality of clinical services based on the gap assessment findings
    • Facilitating state in getting the state and national quality assurance accreditation for the medical college hospitals
    • Devise the financial strategy of the facilities, including budgeting, revenue monitoring, resource mobilization to introduce new health services and equipment

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

     

    Any Graduate with post-Graduation in in Health/Hospital Administration, Health/Hospital Management or master’s in public health

    Experience –

    • Essential: 10-15 years of experience in the public health and/or hospital sector
    • Desirable: 5 years of experience in managing the medical college or experience of working with DMER at state level
    • Experience in Operations and Quality management in healthcare will be preferred
    • Must have experience in program and project management including vendor and partner engagement
    • Good understanding of healthcare laws and policies
    • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills
    • Strong documentation and report writing skills with sharp analytical focus and problem-solving ability
    • Ability to work with limited supervision and an expectation to lead
