PART-TIME GROUP CLASS INSTRUCTOR

ADVOCATE CENTRE CLUB - GURNEE 

HealthFitness is looking for a GROUP CLASS INSTRUCTOR to join the fitness team at our community client site located in Gurnee, IL!  In this position you will provide fun, effective and safe group exercise to members participating in the program such as dance, kickboxing, step, boot camp, and circuit. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Current primary group exercise instructor certification from ACE, ACSM, AFAA, NETA or other nationally accredited organization. 
• Current Adult CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 1 month of hire.
• 2+ years group exercise instruction experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to motivate others.
• Flu vaccine required.
• This client site requires full COVID-19 vaccination as an essential job function. Required Skills Required Experience

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist who has a strong interest in understanding how viruses interact with the human host. Candidates will need to have:

• At a minimum, a Bachelor's degree is required with 1-3 years of laboratory experience
• Strong team spirit and good communication skills are crucial
• Previous experience in DNA cloning, PCR/qPCR, mammalian cell culture and bacterial transformation is required
• Additional experience in viral vector production and/or RNA extraction/synthesis, multi-color flow cytometry, and/or CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene knock-out are strongly encouraged to apply
• Previous experience in working in high-biocontainment laboratory level 3 is not required, but the candidate will be expected to go through specific training to work at such biocontainment level
• A preference will be given to candidates with the intent to commit to this position for at least 2 years. Salary is commensurate with experience
