Our lab is engaged in several studies focused on the genetics and neurobiology of traumatic stress and on traumatic stress-related accelerated aging. Our group includes multiple PIs who are actively involved in publishing research in this area using both existing datasets and newly collected data. Our group is on-site at the National Center for PTSD at VA Boston Healthcare System. The RA will be involved in executing the study protocol, including conducting psychiatric diagnostic interviews with military veterans (under the supervision of the PI) for a newly-funded (by the NIH) research project focused on PTSD and accelerated aging in the periphery and brain. The RA will also be involved with processing some of the brain imaging (MRI) data we generate as part of the protocol and will contribute to data analyses and manuscripts. We are an active lab with numerous on-going projects.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or behavioral neuroscience; experience with statistical analysis and data processing in SAS, R, python, or Matlab preferred; experience with Unix preferred. Substantial RA experience, who have previously processed MRI data and have expertise in python, matlab, R, unix, or SAS are consistent with preferred education experience.
