    Posting Details Position Information Job Title Coordinator, Apprenticeship (Time-Limited) Job Description # RPM The Guilford Technical Community College Apprenticeship Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating apprenticeship opportunities to support local business and industry needs. The Apprenticeship Coordinator is responsible for supporting student success, responding to student needs, modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative work relationships with other faculty, staff, and external partners and supporting college administrative requirements. This is a one year full time position. Duties/Functions 1. Work collaboratively with internal and external apprenticeship partners, including Workforce Boards, Economic Development Directors, Career/Technical Education personnel, and industry partners. 2. Promote the program to potential apprenticeship students collaboratively with industry, community college, and k-12 partners. 3. Communicate regularly with program staff/faculty in regards to course schedule, curriculum needs, student enrollment, etc. 4. Coordinate and provide oversight to work-based learning experiences. 5. Facilitate the development, implementation, and assessment of pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs in partnership with local companies to increase the pipeline of skilled workers in the College service area. 6. Coordinate with faculty to develop and implement courses and programs tailored to meet the training and development needs of companies related to areas of job creation, productivity enhancement and deployment of technology. 7. Facilitate processes to ensure compliance with college policies and procedures. 8. Assist in the development of marketing strategies and materials to publicize apprenticeship programs. 9. Represent the college in the community and during functions affiliated with business/ industry, corporate training and workforce development. 10. Establish and/or grow partnerships with stakeholders within the college and the community, especially as related to corporate training and apprenticeships in Guilford county. 11. Participate in college meetings/events. 12. Perform other duties that support the mission, vision, values and initiatives of the college. 13. Demonstrate and model the Colleges employability skills: adaptability, communication, information processing, problem solving, responsibility and teamwork. Difficult Challenges Contacts Education Required Bachelors degree in a career and technical program OR an Associates degree in a career and technical program and a Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution. Education Preferred Masters degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution. Experience Required 2 years of relevant work experience in a business/industry setting. Experience coordinating a complex program/project that involved multiple partners. Experience building collaborative relationships between education, business and industry partners. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience Preferred More than 2 years of relevant work experience in a business/industry setting. Teaching and/or industry training experience in a career and technical field. Experience coordinating an apprenticeship program. KSA Required 1. Multi-task 2. Respect Diversity 3. KSA Preferred Department/Job Specific Requirements Under general supervision, this individual will develop and expand the apprenticeship program. The coordinator will also be responsible for recruiting students and collaborating with industry partners to ensure relevancy of the curriculum and program.
