    As a GRAPHIC DESIGNER II you will be joining our ENROLLMENT AND STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS team. Our team is made up of hardworking and dedicated professionals who passionately pursue producing exceptional work all while creating a pleasurable and collaborative work environment. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Graphic Designer will assist the Senior Graphic Designer in creating a diverse range of visual communications. The Graphic Designer will design publications, branding campaigns, special events packages and other presentation materials and products to meet the University’s communications and marketing needs.

     

    This position requires the incumbent to develop a working knowledge of UM processes and guidelines regarding branding, marketing and outreach; and develop a working knowledge of licensed print vendors available to produce publications and promotional items.

    • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
    • Excellent print and digital design skills.
    • Proficient computer skills.
    • Knowledge of the creative process in order to effectively gauge workloads and manage deadlines.

    Minimum Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design in addition to two (2) years of related graphic design experience; or any combination of experience and education that provides the competencies necessary to successfully discharge the duties and responsibilities assigned to the position.

     

     

     


    Position Details

     

    POSITION TITLE:                    Graphic Designer II

    POSITION NUMBER:              NEW

    DEPARTMENT:                       Enrollment and Strategic Communications

    WORK SCHEDULE:                 Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 12 months/year.

    SALARY:                                $21.209/HR – Current employee’s rate of pay for this position will be determined by the staff compensation plan and may be different from the posted salary. For questions and details regarding the staff compensation plan, email the Compensation Department.

    UNION AFFILIATION:               MFPE

    PROBATIONARY PERIOD:        Six months minimum

    BENEFITS INCLUDE:               Insurance package, mandatory retirement plan, partial tuition waiver, and wellness program.
