As a GRAPHIC DESIGNER II you will be joining our ENROLLMENT AND STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Graphic Designer will assist the Senior Graphic Designer in creating a diverse range of visual communications. The Graphic Designer will design publications, branding campaigns, special events packages and other presentation materials and products to meet the University’s communications and marketing needs.

This position requires the incumbent to develop a working knowledge of UM processes and guidelines regarding branding, marketing and outreach; and develop a working knowledge of licensed print vendors available to produce publications and promotional items.

Minimum Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design in addition to two (2) years of related graphic design experience; or any combination of experience and education that provides the competencies necessary to successfully discharge the duties and responsibilities assigned to the position.

WORK SCHEDULE:                 Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 12 months/year.

SALARY:                                $21.209/HR – Current employee’s rate of pay for this position will be determined by the staff compensation plan and may be different from the posted salary. For questions and details regarding the staff compensation plan, email the Compensation Department.

PROBATIONARY PERIOD:        Six months minimum
