Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field required. Experience Qualifications: Three years of successful teaching experience preferred. Two years in an administrative role preferred. Skills Qualifications: High degree of skill in oral and written communication; high degree of skill in organization and problem-solving; demonstrated knowledge and skill with computer software including PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of web-based applicant tracking systems; knowledge of school system organization; knowledge of Board of Education, state and federal laws, and rules and regulations pertaining to employment; ability to query databases and maintain confidential records; ability to plan strategically plan and work independently; ability to prepare comprehensive and detailed reports and draft professional business correspondence; ability to analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement process improvement initiatives; ability to translate needs and challenges into creative solutions; must possess effective human relations skills; ability to act as a representative of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) and to establish professional working relationships with outside customers; ability to comfortably conduct presentations to audiences of varying size and organizational makeup; and ability to work across functional boundaries and interact with employees at all levels of the organization. Primary Responsibilities: Coordinate the recruitment of a pipeline of highly qualified candidates in high-need academic subject and specialty areas, which includes, but is not limited to, recruiting and screening potential candidates by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external), developing innovative techniques to attract candidates, conducting research to identify and implement best practices in candidate recruitment, utilizing social media platforms to attract candidates, developing and maintaining screening databases, and tracking recruitment metrics. 1. Design, develop, communicate, implement, and assess strategic recruitment strategiesto ensure a pipeline of highly qualified candidates in high-need academic subject and specialty areas is being created through targeted efforts including student teachers, district job fairs, industry career fairs, and partnerships with college and university personnel. a. Establish a measurable and quantifiable process for efficient and effective recruiting of targeted candidates. b. Research and implement best practices in attracting and recruiting targeted candidates. c. Utilize social media platforms to brand and market targeted recruitment efforts. d. Recruit and screen potential candidates for employment consideration in high-need academic schools e. Assign and deliver training to staff recruiting targeted candidates f. Build and maintain databases to archive targeted recruitment efforts 2. Review current status and plan for future staffing needs based on anticipated trends. 3. Coordinate district and local school job fairs targeting highly qualified candidates in high-need academic subject and specialty areas. 4. Collaborate with the Department of Communication and Media Relations and consultant agencies to brand and market targeted recruitment efforts. 5. Provide responsive and proactive customer service to candidates, via telephone, e-mail, and face-to-face, throughout the recruitment and hiring process. 6. Interact professionally with director, general public, school and district administrators, colleagues, and college/university placement officials. 7. Prepare reports as needed concerning targeted recruitment planning, processes, and evidence-based outcomes. 8. Perform other Title II, Part A allowable duties.
