    Cambridge International Systems, Inc. (Cambridge) is looking for a Director of Human Resources to lead our HR department to plan, develop, and manage the Human Resources function across all aspects of the employee life-cycle. This responsibility includes driving initiatives that support the organization’s strategic goals in addition to the continuum of Human Resources leadership areas inclusive of recruiting, onboarding, management effectiveness and development, goal setting and performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, management and development, compensation and benefits, as well as policies and procedures that ensure compliance to regulatory standards. The Director operates as a business partner, an advocate for the employee population and a subject matter expert for human capital operations areas.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Guides and manages the overall delivery of Human Resources services, policies and programs for Cambridge. This includes, but is not limited to, recruiting and staffing, performance management processes and tools, employee orientation, development and training, policy development and documentation, compliance to regulatory requirements, employee relations, employee community building, employee health and wellness.
    • Works closely with the Executive Team to help create and sustain a great work environment for competent, highly motivated, and results-oriented people whose core values and work ethic align with the organization’s high performance and mission-driven culture; and whose skills and experience contribute to achieving the organization’s goals and objectives.
    • Directs company-wide benefits program to include: reviewing existing benefits options, determining corporate benefits strategy and offerings, managing broker and vendor relationships, analyzing and negotiating benefit costs to achieve the best alternative for the company, and managing corporate benefits communications and open enrollment.
    • Oversees Talent Management programs ensuring that recruiting/hiring practices and processes attract and retain top talent and are in full compliance with all federal, state, and local hiring requirements.
    • Maintains responsibility for organizational compliance with federal, state and local legislation and regulations pertaining to employment and personnel matters and partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and regulatory requirements to the organization.
    • In collaboration with management, develops and ensures delivery of the organization’s training requirements in accordance with enterprise-defined and regulatory/statutory/contractual – required needs.
    • Serves as a trusted, confidential adviser to senior leadership and be an in-person presence for both employees and leadership to answer questions and provide input into conversations as needed.
    • Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forward.
    • Reviews, guides and conducts management recommendations for employee terminations.
    • Works collaboratively with Executive Team and recommends employee relations practices to support an engaged, productive, positive work environment.
    • Oversees and manages a team and the work of a capable Human Resources staff encouraging their on-going development in the field.
    • Supervises insurance brokers and carriers, pension administrators and other outside service providers.
    • Reports on human resources initiatives, workforce planning and population analysis and generates human resources data reports and presentations as necessary.
    • Supports employment branding initiatives in partnership with communications.
    • In collaboration with the Executive team, demonstrates an on-going commitment to excellence and continuous improvement by implementing policy, process, systems and/or structural enhancements that improve the quality and/or effectiveness of the services provided by the Human Resource function.
    • Leads the development of department goals, objectives, and systems. Establishes measurement of those programs to support achievement of organizational goals. Supports alignment efforts of workforce goals with strategic goals of the organization.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • BA/BS degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or equivalent (may consider other combinations of experience, education, training and certifications).
    • 16+ years successful experience in human resources department, preferably in a similar corporate environment focused on government contracting market space for an organization with a mix of technology solutions and service offerings including international operations.
    • 5+ years demonstrated experience successfully managing human resource professionals for an organization with revenue of $100 million or greater.
    • Demonstrated experience leading an HR technology integration (ATS, HRIS, performance mgmt., etc).
    • Experience supporting international employees and business.
    • Successful collaboration among cross-functional working groups or steering committees.
    • Ability to manage a budget.
    • Expert working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, benefits administration, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws, including SCA.
    • Strong understanding of the talent acquisition process and on-boarding.
    • Strong knowledge of Human Resources technologies and tools.
    • Ability to use statistics, data, and leverage technology in enhancing performance.
    • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to Cambridge’s core mission.

    Desired Skills & Experience:

    • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or a related field.
    • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification.
    • Prior experience working in a growth company environment to include the ability to lead the HR function and support to scale and align with rapid corporate growth, apply new technologies and tools to enhance efficiencies of the organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced company.

  • Qualifications
    • Masters of Science in Geology preferred, but Bachelors of Science may be considered with experience.
    • Strong communication skills both oral and written including the ability to clearly summarize technical work.
    • A minimum of 7 years experience with a primary concentration in exploration.
    • A track record of positive contributions in a new-ventures environment.
    • Experience in both conventional exploration and appraisal & development a plus.
    • Current proficiency in the use of Kingdom for integrated G&G interpretation preferred.
    • Practical understanding of stochastic resource estimation and play and prospect risk analysis techniques.
    • Basic understanding of petrophysical data and techniques.
    • Well-site operational experience a real plus.
    • Experience in concepts of basin analysis including source rock quality & maturity evaluation.
    • Excellent organizational skills and work prioritization capacity to complement technical focus and handle multiple concurrent tasks effectively.
    • Ability to clearly summarize and communicate concepts and ideas both to peers and management in writing and in presentation.
