    Required Qualifications : **** An Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Supervision and Management or closely related field. Must have minimum (2) years’ work experience in an emergency management, security, or related field. This position requires a valid Florida Driver’s License and a Florida Class “D” Security License. CPR Certification required/or to be attained with six (6) months from start date.

    Working Hours: **** Regular work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This position is based at the Daytona Campus. This position may require various shifts and locations as assigned based on the needs of the College. Additional hours, weekends, evenings and/or holidays as needed and/or required.

    Key Responsibilities :

    • This position is responsible for developing, reviewing, implementing and maintaining plans and procedures related to all College hazards and emergencies. Reviews and updates accordingly. Annually revise and submits the DSC COOP to the FSC. **

    • This position is responsible for developing tabletop exercises that test the efficiency of emergency plans and procedures. Organizes and coordinates Campus Safety Officer training programs. Assists with threat and vulnerability assessments. Coordinates training, equipment, and staffing for hazardous activities. Assists in post Incident Management Recovery.

    • This position develops and delivers safety and awareness training throughout the college community and be direct contact for student groups. Participate in the Emergency Operation Centers for Volusia and Flagler County.

    • This position maintains department technological resources. Conducts periodic testing of all panic devices, surveillance equipment, AED’s, EVAC Chairs, radios, blue phones, safety app, CCTV, and any department technology resources. Identifies future needs and interacts with other college departments.

    • Maintains NIMS/FEMA Certificates, CPR Certificate, and Class D License. Conducts, assists, and monitors unit training. Maintains and revises the COOP and CEMP. Oversees the FALCONSAFE safety app.

    • Assists Campus Safety with field operations, other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the Director or their designee. Coordinates the onboarding of new employees, officer scheduling and assist with special event security planning.

    • Must have experience with implementing computer systems.

    • Must have strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and team building skills.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education/Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two years in a clinical environment with data processing/specimen handling experience. A.S degree preferred or an equivalent demonstration of education and experience. Graduate of heath/ medical assistant or similar training program from an accredited institution where general laboratory technique is taught. Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for moderate complexity testing.

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information to one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    Math Ability:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must have the ability to perform all duties with accuracy and attention to detail

    Computer Skills:

    Ability to use Laboratory Information System in addition to various other software programs.
