Key Responsibilities:

• Program Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive softball program strategy that aligns with the university's mission and values.
• **Coaching & Development: **Plan and conduct practices, develop game strategies, and provide mentorship to student-athletes to enhance their skills and performance.
• Recruitment: Identify, recruit, and retain talented student-athletes who demonstrate the potential for academic and athletic success at Shenandoah University.
• Academic Support: Monitor and support the academic progress of student- athletes, ensuring compliance with university and NCAA academic standards.
• **Compliance & Administration: **Ensure adherence to all NCAA, ODAC, and university policies and regulations. Manage program budgets, scheduling, and travel arrangements.
• Community Engagement: Foster relationships within the university community and engage in outreach activities to promote the softball program.
• Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and supervise an assistant coach and support staff, promoting a positive and collaborative team environment.

• Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of coaching experience at the collegiate level, with a demonstrated record of success in recruiting and program development.
• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to mentor student-athletes and foster a positive team culture.
• Certifications: Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
• Commitment: Dedication to the NCAA Division III philosophy, emphasizing the balance between athletics, academics, and personal development.
