QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:
Doctoral in Life Sciences discipline Board Certification from the American Board of Clinical Chemistry or equivalent clinical board program Must be qualified to manage and direct the laboratory personnel and performance of laboratory testing in accordance with all accrediting bodies, such as CLIA, CAP, MD DOH, NY DOH, AABB as it applies to clinical testing of oversight.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. High ability to interact with a wide variety of internal and external customers in complex and sensitive circumstances. High level of interpersonal and communication skills necessary. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management.
Math Ability:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability, validity and analysis.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in using Microsoft Office products in addition to various other software products including the Laboratory Information System. Working knowledge of DNA Analysis Software.
Certificates and Licensures:
Board Certification or Board eligibility for area of specialty.
