    The Human Resources Representative (HR Representative) will assist the Human Resources Manager with complex and specialized tasks and projects including assisting with employee relations, managing and overseeing employee records, and generating reports. In addition, the HR Rep is responsible for managing employee engagement for our hourly workforce, handling unemployment claims from beginning to end and administering the company's LOA programs, as well as providing guidance to supervisors on employee relations concerns, workplace disputes and disciplinary action.

    The schedule is Monday - Friday with flexible hours (7am-4pm, 8am-5pm, etc.)

    Employee Relations:

    • Maintains manager and employee confidence by facilitating and encouraging a quality work environment
    • Assists with promoting feedback and engagement surveys
    • Leads employee engagement initiatives throughout the year for hourly workforce
    • Assists with leading employee reward and incentive programs
    • Manages internal job postings.
    • Facilitates employee orientation and on-boarding to provide an robust on-boarding experience
    • Investigate, resolve and/or coordinate grievances, workplace disputes, harassment or ethics violation, and reasonable cause process
    • Review and oversee the hourly corrective action process

    People Management:

    • Provides information and answers inquiries; referring more complex communication or questions to HR Manager
    • Partner/collaborate with supervisors to align and execute HR strategies in support of business objectives
    • Provide support to the business and guidance to employees
    • Manage unemployment claims by processing and attending hearings when necessary
    • Performs administrative and record keeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include resignations, terminations, extended leaves of absence, employment verification

    Benefits Administration:

    • Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
    • Processes all lost time and administers WC Program and all LOA, including FMLA, STD, LTD
    • Tracking employee LOA to ensure accurate return to work and record keeping
    • Assisting employees with the enrollment process for insurance plans
    • Answering questions regarding employee benefits
    • Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability and/or other characteristics needed for this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.

    • 3+ years HR experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
    • Completion of a two-year program, such as an Associates degree
    • Proficient in MS Office Applications; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Proficient in Google Suite, including Google Drive, Forms
    • Strong written and interpersonal (verbal) communication skills
    • Bi-Lingual (Spanish) is preferred
    • Exceptional organizational skills and time management are a must
    • Detail oriented with a focus on quality results/deliverables
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high caliber and dynamic environment
    • General knowledge of state and local laws
    • This position requires 0- 5 % travel
