Job Description

We are seeking a Licensed Insurance Agent to join our team! You will be responsible for expanding the company's book of business by selling various types of insurance policies to new and existing clients. As a Licensed Insurance Agent with Horace Mann, you have uncapped earning potential, access to an experienced training program and the opportunity to help provide solutions specifically geared to and priced for educators. We provide auto, home, life, supplemental insurance products, and retirement and financial solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Present and sell insurance policies to new and existing clients
• Develop and calculate suitable plans based on clients' needs
• Expand business reach through networking techniques such as community, sales and industry events
• Comply with insurance standards and regulations
• Track and identify areas of improvement
• Be dedicated to solving the financial challenges educators face
• Excel at gaining market access and building relationships
• Be comfortable presenting information to potential customers in both one-on-one settings and large groups
• Be willing to invest time and resources to ensure business success

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in insurance, customer service, or other related fields
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• REQUIRED:
  • Property and Casualty License
  • Life and Health License (a plus)
