    Host Family Coordinator

    The Role:

    The job of the Host Family Coordinator is to work closely with students and their accommodation to ensure a successful experience for all parties. Candidates should be comfortable working in a stressful environment, yet still able to maintain a high level of customer service. The Host Family Coordinator is required to meet the varying needs of our students and their host families, in addition to completing other administrative and school-wide duties.

    The successful candidate for this position will report to the Housing Direct and assist with all aspects of student welfare including housing, discipline, and administration. Excellent communication skills are needed to liaise with our sales offices worldwide, work closely with the housing team, and retain and recruit host families. This is a full-time role, 40 hours a week including benefits.

    Key responsibilities include

    • Recruiting host families in accordance with EF policies and standards.

    • Telemarketing for host family calls and enquiries; utilizing and growing the database.

    • Work off-site for promotional recruitment street actions, events, fairs, and leafleting.

    • Visit prospective hosts to determine their suitability and complete visit form with great attention to detail.

    • Provide high-level customer support to Host Families and International Students, ensuring questions are answered and addressed in a timely manner in compliance with the school’s regulations.

    • Track weekly recruitment statistics with Housing and School Directors.

    • Process and maintain host family records.

    • Share emergency on-call duties with other school staff.

    The ideal candidate:

    • Highly motivated, energetic, and positive.

    • Excellent telephone skills.

    • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

    • Target driven with sales experience.

    • A flexible approach to work and hours of work is essential.

    • Friendly and approachable manner, not afraid to speak to strangers and make phone calls.

    • Able to remain calm under pressure and to diffuse potentially difficult situations.

    • Excellent communicator with external clients such as host families, students, and colleagues.

    • Attention to detail, organized, and thorough.

      • International experience is a plus.

      • Additional languages are a plus.

    Earnings:

    $40,000-$42,000 per year
