    Responsibilities include:

    Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions to students in various subjects.

    Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage and motivate students.

    Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.

    Skills:

    Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.

    Experience working with students of different age groups, from preschool to adult education.

    Knowledge of classroom management techniques and strategies.

    At Huntington we offer children ages 5 to 17 tutoring in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Study Skills, Phonics, Vocabulary, Science, Test Prep, High School Entrance Exam preparation, and ACT & SAT/PSAT preparation. To ensure that our students have a successful educational experience, our tutors are required to go through intensive initial and ongoing training in Huntington teaching methods and our highly developed curriculum.

    Requirements include:

    Bachelor’s degree required

    Certification a plus

    Must be available to work at least 3 shifts a week.

    We also have opportunities to work weekend shifts.
