Johnson County Community College is seeking an Electronics Instructor. This part-time position will teach non-credit students how to assemble circuits using surface mount and through-hole technology components to IPC standards. Additionally, the instructor will teach students to test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic circuits.  Training will be delivered through lecture and actual hands-on practice with required equipment.

Required Skills

• Knowledgeable and productive in electronic assembly equipment, soldering/de-soldering processes and equipment, and test equipment

Required Experience

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Minimum five years of relevant work experience

PREFERRED:

• AAS or Bachelor’s degree
• Ability to work day, evenings, and/or weekend hours
• Ability to efficiently use Microsoft office products, especially power-point
• Current IPC 610 and/or J-STD-001 Certification or ability to obtain either or both
• Experience working in a continuing education training environment
