    Job Description

    The Indiana University Foundation’s (IUF) Advancement Marketing, Annual Giving team is growing!

    The team is looking to add two highly collaborative, strategic annual giving consultants to serve as Annual Giving Account Managers. These new positions further expand IUF’s Advancement Marketing and Annual Giving services to the University by serving as a strategic fundraising partner for campuses, schools, and units across Indiana University. 

    The Advancement Marketing department is responsible for growing the donor pipeline by delivering compelling communications, solicitations, and campaigns at all stages of the philanthropic relationship journey.

    Reporting to the Associate Director, Annual Giving Strategy, the Annual Giving Account Manager develops strong relationships with key campus, school, and unit partners at IU. They will work with partners to consult and advise on annual giving objectives and plans, educate on central fundraising plans, co-develop audience journeys, and develop reports that help illustrate the performance of efforts.  

    The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in annual giving, demonstrate their ability to partner closely with multiple stakeholders, and ask strategic questions to understand partner objectives while implementing solid business solutions that integrate with IUF’s annual giving strategy. This team player and true leader will demonstrate commitment to collaboration, and service to the University and will use their experience and knowledge of annual giving methods to implement programs and strategies system-wide.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 

    • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of marketing methods to implement programs and engagement initiatives system-wide
    • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with multiple stakeholders to understand customer needs while implementing solid business solutions which integrate with the department strategy
    • Data analysis and report writing skills
    • Strong project management skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal clients and current and potential donors
    • Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
    • Interpersonal skills and judgment suitable for exercising appropriate discretion and demeanor when dealing with staff, donors, alumni, and friends of IU
    • Demonstrated ability to use current computer technology, such as Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc., and appropriate market research software applications 
    • Experience in service-oriented, client-based relationships
    • Program leadership and organizational skills

    YOUR QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • A Bachelor’s degree is required. 
    • A master’s degree in marketing or a related field is preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience required.
    • Higher education experience and knowledge of fundraising at IU are pluses!  
    • Combinations of education and experience are welcomed and will be considered.
