    In the midst of a global pandemic, Indiana University students, faculty, and staff have proven to be #NeverDaunted. But funding for the #NeverDaunted campaign and so many other scholarships, initiatives, and projects at IU do not come along without the support of generous donors and friends of the university. If you have an interest in supporting Indiana University for whatever IU means to you, the opportunity to serve the IU Foundation as a Virtual Advancement Ambassador could be your opportunity to give back and support IU in staying strong!

    Virtual Advancement Ambassadors will join a fully re- vamped IU Telefund in utilizing exciting new technology to call, text, email, and video message friends and donors of Indiana University. Advancement Ambassadors have the opportunity to learn about what fundraising at a big 10 university takes, and will actively be involved in cultivating and stewarding donors. This is an opportunity for a lover of all things IU to learn about all of the initiatives, projects, and opportunities that are growing on all of Indiana University’s campus, and is a true chance to touch all campuses and make a difference.     VIRTUAL ADVANCEMENT AMBASSADORS WILL WORK A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE OF A MINIMUM OF 15 HOURS PER WEEK FROM WHEREVER THEY CALL HOME. Ambassadors must demonstrate excellent communication skills, with genuine enthusiasm for speaking about IU, with a proven ability to listen to and personalize a case for the support of IU throughout your communications with a potential donor. Ambassadors must have a problem-solving mentality, a willingness and desire to learn new technology and strategy, and must be able to think on their feet in a fast-paced environment

    Qualifications

    Ambassadors must be able to work at least 15 virtual hours per week.  Flexible afternoon and evening shift times are available: Monday through Thursday 1:00-10:00 pm; Friday 1:00-9:00 pm; and Saturday through Sunday 1:00-7:00 pm. It is expected that callers select and maintain a consistent weekly schedule, and schedules will be re-visited at the end of each semester.

    High school diploma or GED equivalent required

    Basic technology literacy required, including phone and computer applications

    A personal computer to use for the job is required. The computer must have a webcam and microphone, along with Google Chrome, and the ability to install software on the device
