The IU Foundation is seeking two Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developers to help connect with donors, alumni, and friends of IU through our mass email communication channel. You will code, test, send, and monitor the emails we send our alumni/donor population, helping connect them closer to the exciting, innovative, and life-changing work happening at IU through their engagement and philanthropic support.

We’re looking for developers who are both meticulous AND collaborative. In this role, you will receive requests and projects from our internal IUF and IU Alumni Association colleagues. As part of the Advancement Marketing team, you’ll work closely with our creative team to implement their creative vision through coding, testing, sending, and tracking the success of emails. Successful candidates will possess a demonstrated record of front-end software development, strong problem-solving skills, the ability to collaborate with peers, customers, and key stakeholders, and the desire to both follow and shape our team’s programming standards. An understanding of or experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is key for this role. Salesforce Marketing Cloud is new to IUF, and we look forward to adding talented developers to our team who will help propel and bolster the tool and its impact across Indiana University.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Associate Degree required
• Bachelors preferred
• Basic-level programming, testing, and implementation of database-driven web applications using XHTML, CSS, SQL, and Salesforce’s AmpScript
• Maintaining a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer certification is highly preferred
• Experience with Advertising Studio, Audience Studio, Interaction Studio, Datorama a bonus
• Combination of education/career experience will be considered

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Exhibits a high degree of ownership and accountability, with an ability to comfortably collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with email delivery and email campaign management
• Experience understanding data segmentation​
• Ability to translate segmentation requirements to Data Analysts and create data segments using data extensions as needed​
• Understanding of User Roles​ and permissions
• Understanding of Salesforce Content Builder, Email Studio, and Journey Builder​
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build “trust” with the customer
• Attention to detail resulting in high quality and a strong follow through
• Demonstrated analytical ability for problem solving

Additional Information

This role has a remote work arrangement (based in Indiana.) The salary range for this role is $60,000-$65,000.

Requires minimal physical effort. Long periods of sitting in front of computer terminal. Occasional relocation and installation of computer hardware of less than 30 pounds.
