    Job Description

    As an Individual Giving Officer, you’ll be at the heart of IU Athletics’ momentum during an electrifying season of Hoosier football and growing fan enthusiasm. You’ll be fully integrated into the IU Athletics Department, engaging passionate supporters and strengthening their connection to the programs they adore.

    Traveling nationwide regularly to meet donors to provide personalized created experiences, you’ll collaborate with the IU Varsity Club to cultivate leadership annual donors and advance major gift opportunities. By leveraging Varsity Club benefits, game-day access, and special events, you’ll deepen relationships and convert donor passion into long-term philanthropic commitments that empower IU student-athletes to excel on and off the field.

    Qualifications

    • You must be able to regularly be in Bloomington, IN including working on game-days to support donor events, and travel nationwide (50%)
    • A deep knowledge **** of the collegiate athletics landscape is required to be successful

    What You’ll Do:

    • Travel the country to meet with donors and friends of IU Athletics with a goal of 200 substantive contacts annually
    • Curate experiences to drive donor engagement through personal touchpoints
    • Work alongside the athletic department, partnering with Varsity Club, and a Donor Experience Officer to align with the IU Foundation and IU Athletics goals

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Experience in intercollegiate athletics development strongly preferred
    • 2+ years in sales, marketing, fundraising, or call center preferred
    • Experience in nationwide travel managing airport procedures and complex travel requirements

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Ability to develop strategic donor cultivation plans
    • Comfort with nationwide travel and event-based donor engagement as 50% of the role
    • Experience with tools like EverTrue Signal, and ThankView
    • Manage a curated portfolio of leadership annual giving donors
    • Develop personalized cultivation and solicitation strategies

    We anticipate this will be a highly sought after role and will begin conducting interview immediately. The compensation range for this position is $58,000- $62,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
