** The anticipated salary range for this position is $58,000-63,000/year**
The Indiana University Foundation is seeking an Individual Giving Officer (IGO) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to launch or continue your fundraising career. As an IGO, you'll engage in two primary areas of fundraising: cultivating leadership annual giving donors and identifying prospective major gift donors. In this role, you'll also be responsible for soliciting philanthropic gifts, ensuring that your outreach and relationship-building efforts directly support IU’s fundraising goals. You'll collaborate with partners across Indiana University’s campuses, working closely with the Donor Experience Officer role to coordinate outreach and share insights within your assigned travel territory. Your work will be driven by clear metrics and goals for outreach, donor meetings, dollars raised and pipeline growth.
Your time will be spent traveling and connecting with alumni and donors whose interests align with IU's mission, often through strategic email outreach and meaningful in-person engagement. This position offers the opportunity to develop broad experience in front-line fundraising while positioning you for continued professional growth. The role will require monthly travel (4-6 days per month) to your assigned geographic territory. Qualifications
Education & Experience
Associate’s degree required.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is Strongly preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in fundraising, client-relations, sales, or a related industry strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills across mediums, especially via video conferencing, email, and phone
Technologically adept, with experience using CRMs, Microsoft package, email platforms, video conferencing tools, and social media platforms for outreach.
Strong interpersonal skills with sound judgment and entrepreneurial instincts.
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Critical thinking and data interpretation skills.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams.
Ability to connect thoughtfully and empathetically with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a proactive approach to relationship-building and outreach.
Additional Information
** Onboarding for this role will be in person and will take place over seven weeks in Bloomington and Indianapolis, Indiana. The role will require monthly travel (4-6 days per month) to your assigned geographic territory.**
** This position is classified as mobile, however, you will have in-person meetings, team-building activities, and all-staff gatherings, which will take place in Bloomington and Indianapolis, Indiana, regularly. On days when this role requires you to be in the office for an event or meeting, you will be encouraged to stay in the office for the entire day, taking advantage of the opportunity to collaborate with peers in person.**
