  • Responsibilities

    Global Diving & Salvage, Inc. is the largest diving contractor on the West Coast, based out of Seattle, WA, a leading provider of marine construction and infrastructure support services in the United States, and an internationally recognized casualty responder.

     

    We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and logistical support for projects within the Marine Construction group and in support of other Service Lines as required.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Coordinate efforts to mobilize personnel, equipment and supplies for Service Line projects.

    • Arrange and supervise transportation of personnel, assets and supplies in support of ongoing marine construction projects

    • Ensure competitive and reliable shipments of project resources

    • Track and manage asset inventories specific to marine construction group

    • Offsite support of ongoing projects

    • Other duties as assigned

    • Act as purchasing agent to assist field operations

    • Maintain logs, files and supporting documents to facilitate cost accounting and invoicing

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION

    Associate degree in Logistics, Materials, Supply Chain Management, Operations Analysis, or related field.

    EXPERIENCE

    2+ years’ experience in field engineering and logistics.  Working knowledge of commercial diving procedures preferred but not required. 

     

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

    Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills

    Ability to interact effectively and professionally with internal team members in addition to vendors and clients

    Customer orientated approach to problem solving

    Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management

    Strong computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite

     

    PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

    Perform work in office and field settings

    Travel as needed for projects

    Be available after hours and on weekends as needed

    Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screen

    Valid driver’s license, valid auto insurance, clean driving record for prior 3 years
