  • Responsibilities

    Iona College seeks applications for the position of Part-Time Custodian to perform cleaning services in all areas of the College during the day shift.  This position may require overtime and candidates must possess some knowledge of cleaning procedures and cleaning agents.  

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Includes cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, climbing a ladder to clean windows and lifting up to 50 pounds of any assigned areas such as bathrooms, offices, classrooms, auditoriums, gymnasiums, dormitories etc.
    • Collection and disposal of any garbage and recyclables from all trash containers and bringing it to designated areas
    • Sweeping, mopping, stripping and buffing hard wood floors where necessary
    • Reporting any faulty building functions such as lights, doors, locks, bathroom fixtures, etc. to supervisor
    • Assisting with snow removal department, as required
    • Other duties as requested

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • One year minimum in cleaning industry
    • Possess some knowledge of cleaning procedures and cleaning agents, highly preferred

  • Qualifications
    • Credit Courses - Require a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in CyberSecurity or closely related discipline.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

    Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty: The rate per credit hour will commensurate with education and relevant or teaching experience.  The position is part time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits.  However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.  Note: Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty listings are on a continuous, open until filled basis.  Applicants will be contacted on an as needed basis.
