Under general supervision, this position is responsible for operation of power plant auxiliary systems and assisting Utility Plant Operator II personnel, and other employees, in all aspects of plant operations; as well coal and yard operations and limited maintenance activities. Duties include ash handling and removal, operation of solid fuel and gas/oil fired boiler systems, operation of coal and limestone handling equipment and systems, and operation of various auxiliary equipment. This position also makes rounds of plant equipment, records readings onto log sheets and alerts appropriate staff of changes needed to equipment. The successful candidate will work well in a team environment, communicate effectively, and make safety a priority. Special Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an industrial plant, process plant or power plant, operating gas boilers, coal boiler experience, pumps, fans, conveyors or other similar equipment.
