Software Engineering Internship (University of Portland) The Tektronix/WideBand Solutions Business Unit is looking for a positive, innovative softwareengineering intern with a passion to solve customer problems. This is an internship position for a talented andaccomplished near engineering college graduate. We are looking for an emerging engineer with a strongknowledge of systems programming and software architecture. In this positionyou will design, implement, test/debug, document, and publish software tointegrate the Tektronix RSA Spectrum Analyzer into the GNURadio SoftwareDefined Radio (SDR) framework. Preference will be given to highly motivated,self-managed individuals with a strong commitment to delivering innovativeproducts first to market. Minimum Requirements: * Senior year (or advanced Junior year) student majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering. * Well-developed programming skills in C, C++, and Python. Preferred Skills: * Familiarity with test and measurement equipment, preferably Tektronix RSA Spectrum Analyzers. * Ability to develop, debug, and optimize software for data acquisition and triggering instruments that capture RF signals for customers developing measurement and monitoring technologies. * Understanding of Open Source Software development and publishing. * Experience with Linux operating systems and Linux-based software development tools. * Understanding of software development cycle (requirements, design, implementation, test, deployment) * Application of sound software engineering principles, agile methodologies, and scrum to the software development life cycle. * Timelytechnical risk assessments, schedule estimates and status reports. * Self-managementskills, ability to work independently. * Excellentwritten and oral communication skills.
