This role has the primary responsibility of assisting in the cooking portion of the manufacturing process by performing the following duties.

    This position is full time BENEFIT ELIGIBLE.     An ideal candidate possesses a strong multi-craft skill set that includes mechanical, PLC’s and electrical power & controls, as well as the ability to read machinery blueprints and electrical schematics.  Must also be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently to solve problems and implement solutions.

     

    HOURS: 2nd Shift Alternating Schedule. 

    This position works on an alternating schedule 3:00pm – 1:00am working: Monday, Tuesday, (OFF Wed), Thursday, Friday, & Saturday; and the following week: Sunday, Monday, (OFF Tues), Wednesday, & Thursday (OFF Fri, Sat & Sun). Additional hours/days may be required according to business demands.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Perform preventable maintenance on equipment as required.
    • Possesses mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
    • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. Ability to repair equipment breakdowns in a timely and through matter.
    • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
    • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
    • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
    • Possess basic fabrication skills.
    • Be self-motivated and work well unsupervised.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Ability to pass a written and practical mechanic test.

    • Experience and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

    • Must have the knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools.

    • Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English.

    • Must have a valid driver’s license.

    • Must have a current forklift license, or be able to obtain one within 90-days of hire.

    • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
