    Farm to Table Intern - Tracking Code - 180574 Job Description - This position's main goal will be to assist with bringing Open Petal Farm food to campus and getting it on the plates of our JCCC community. This position is for 20-25 hours per week and will be scheduled Monday-Thursday. This position is only open to current JCCC students. Activities will include: - Working with farm manager to gather food at farm. - Deliver food to kitchens. - Clean and prep farm food in kitchens under supervision of Chefs. - Assist with promoting the concept of farm to table dining. - Working with an Aquaponics system for year round crops and fish cultivation. Required Skills - The position requires a hardworking, detail-orientated, focused and enthusiastic individual - Ability to log information accurately and timely - To successfully perform this job, must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Additionally, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability needed - Ability to communicate and report effectively to supervisor - Ability to conduct duties in a pleasant, discreet and professional manner - Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals - Current JCCC student Required Experience - Basic knowledge of vegetable types - General computer skills with word processing and data entry capabilities. - Must be in good health and physically fit - Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record to be insurable on the College's insurance Benefit Information: Click here for a summary of our benefit information.
