Job Title: Day Camp Counselor

Responsibilities include: managing a group of 8-10 campers, working with a team to create the magic of summer camp, daily set up and clean up, and knowing that you are making a difference in the lives of kids.

As a counselor, your position is the most important. You are a role model for the campers in your every action, spoken word, and the way you carry the Kidventure torch of excellence. You will be engaging with the kids and building relationships with them through playing games, leading projects, and holding the kids to the same high expectations we hold ourselves to. We are about creating the ultimate environment where kids can just be kids, and we need great counselors to do that.

Position Qualifications:

18 or older Love working with kids, and at least 2 years of experience with kids/camps Preferred Applicants *Teachers *Education Majors

All adult team, everyone is over 18 At least 2 years of experience with kids Must have a driving desire to make a difference in the world Must possess a fanatical amount of spirit & energy CPR/First Aid certification for Infant, Child, and Adult Must complete state-approved Sexual Abuse Prevention course Every team member goes through annual criminal background and sex offender registry checks

A passion to work with children provide a positive role model to them and everyone around them.

Becoming a Kidventure After-School Counselor provides many valuable work experiences including:

• Child-care & education work experience in a school setting
• Classroom management techniques
• An introduction to teaching an enriching curriculum in the form of art and science projects
• Mentorship of a group of school aged children

Kidventure has provided After School programs since 2002! Patterned after our summer camp program, the Kidventure After School Program provides a safe, wholesome, and fun environment during the school year. Curriculum will include homework assistance, arts and crafts, science, and indoor and outdoor games.
