  • Responsibilities

    The Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications primary responsibility is to develop and implement a strategic marketing and communications plan that positions Boston University as a world-class teaching and research university committed to undergraduate education. Admissions communications are designed to attract, influence, and inform target audiences of prospective students, parents, high school principals/headmasters, and guidance counselors in order to enroll the most academically talented students at BU. The Director utilizes market research and data analysis to direct all facets of the conceptualization, writing, and design of print publications, digital and social media, video content, admissions website, and ensures that the high brand standards of the University are met. The Director supervises and directs a team of five marketing professionals who execute the recruitment, branding, and marketing strategies for BU Admissions in support of the Universitys undergraduate enrollment goals.

    Required Skills

    In order to be considered for this position, a cover letter must be included in your application materials. A bachelors degree and 8-10 years of experience in the field of marketing and communications are required for this position. A masters degree is preferred. Extensive experience with CRM tools, preferably with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, are also required.
