  • Responsibilities

    This is a newly created position to help convene and incubate a global Task Force on Financing a Green and Inclusive COVID-19 Recovery. This is a 12-month position with the potential of renewal contingent upon funding availability.

     

    The role's primary focus is to assist in setting and implementing the strategic research and policy agenda for a portfolio of projects in Global Economic Governance Initiative (GEGI) as directed by the Center Director and the Center’s Assistant Director.

     

    This position will also lead all aspects of the project cycle of various research and policy projects of GEGI. Finally, this role will supervise the communications and outreach coordinator and research group and represent the Center at various local and global research engagements.

     

     

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    Doctoral degree required. Three to five years' work experience. Proven ability to excel in written communications. Project management experience preferred.

    SKILLS:

    • ABILITY TO READ TECHNICAL DRAWINGS, SKETCHES, BLUEPRINTS, ETC.

    • Interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC), specifically charts.

    • Proven assembly and production experience in a lean manufacturing environment

    • KNOWLEDGE OF POWER TOOLS FOR ELECTRICAL CONVERTERS, INVERTERS OR RELATED PRODUCTS.

    • Knowledge and experience of the rail industry.

    • Knowledge and expertise in electrical converters, inverters or related products.

    • REGULARLY LIFT AND/OR MOVE UP TO 60 POUNDS AND BE ABLE TO USE APPROPRIATE POWER EQUIPMENT TO LIFT AND MOVE GREATER AMOUNTS.
