    PATH is a global nonprofit dedicated to achieving health equity. With more than 40 years of experience forging multisector partnerships, and with expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and dozens of other specialties, PATH develops and scales up innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing health challenges.

     

    PATH is now providing technical assistance to the MOH and to hospitals and their laboratories to strengthen infection prevention and control (IPC) systems, improve hospital-acquired infection (HAI) surveillance, and accelerate surveillance of COVID-19 outbreaks and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Key to the success of the GHSP in Vietnam are close collaborations between PATH and the MOH, local organizations, and the CDC. To ensure functional and sustainable health systems, the GHSP focuses on building capacity of staff at local agencies and organizations by developing training materials and courses and offering tailored technical assistance.

     

    PATH is currently recruiting for a PROGRAM ASSOCIATE (PA) BASED IN HANOI, VIETNAM to support multiple components of the Amazon project. The PA will be responsible for providing administrative and financial assistance to the project coordinator, the communication officer support implementation of IPC on COVID-19 in community settings in the country including factory’s workers. The PA will be responsible for the following key activities:

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Work closely with Factory focal points, National Institute of Occupational Health and Environment (NIOHE)
    • Support the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
    • Provide support and liaise with partners to arrange meetings, workshops, field trips, travel, and other logistical requirements.
    • Assist with interpretation and translation of project documents and materials for both internal and external use.
    • Ensure formatting of documents and presentations meet PATH standards.
    • Coordinate with donor to organize, assemble, and distribute reports, communication, and advocacy materials, as well as other documents.
    • Assist with the development, coordination, and monitoring of subcontracts and sub-agreements, consultant agreements, work orders, purchase orders and other contracts.
    • Take notes at meetings and workshops and prepare/distribute timely minutes.
    • Contribute to multiple activities including project development, resource mobilization, and project report preparation.
    • Provide support for trainings and project activities.

     

     

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in public health or related areas, plus a minimum of six months experience working in a public health program.
    • Experience working with Vietnam Government Organizations.
    • Experience working with Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs), other public health organizations, and donors.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail while maintaining quality of work under tight deadlines.
    • Command of MS Office suite, especially Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel. Familiarity with Access, SharePoint, Publisher, OneNote, and WebEx a plus.
    • Ability to think creatively to help organize information, manage workflow, and improve systems and processes.
    • Proven ability to be proactive and self-manage tasks while working in a team environment.
    • Flexibility and a willingness to take on a variety of assignments.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environment.
    • Fluency in English.
