    The Shipping and Receiving Administrator is responsible for all aspects of incoming and outgoing activities relating to shipments and deliveries for the organization, both domestic and international. This role will provide broad logistics support to the various teams globally in meeting their shipping and receiving needs. This position is in the Global Procurement team and will also perform small purchasing and office supply management tasks. The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:   

     

    • Administer and handle all domestic and international out-bound shipments and in-bound deliveries. These may involve packaging, receiving, processing, and storing of dangerous goods, biological specimens, research test kits, and other sensitive or restricted commodities. 
    • Manage the daily operations of the Shipping and Receiving Room under limited direction and supervision to ensure it remains organized, safe and secure.    
    • Prepare, process, research, troubleshoot, track, and coordinate all phases of incoming and outgoing mail and package delivery functions, ranging from identify appropriate postage and delivery method, to planning for and addressing country specific customs requirements.
    • Properly process, track and store sensitive and hazardous shipments and employ chain of custody protocols when necessary.
    • Timely enter and process received goods into PATH’s ERP system and leverage technology resources for effective performance of job duties, such as run reports of incoming shipments.
    • Develop and maintain carrier and vendor relations and open communications to ensure visibility to our customers for complete end to end shipment service.
    • Document processes and procedures; identify inefficiencies and waste; and recommend and implement improvements.
    • Establish and monitor office inventory maintained in multiple locations, ensuring they are at all times adequately stocked to meet business needs and order standard supplied supplies for staff.
    • Provide support to the Global Procurement team with purchasing and payment processing.
    • Provide back-up to Facilities staff as needed.

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • Minimum one year experience in shipping domestically and working in a mail room, warehouse, or similar environment required.
    • Ability to lift 40 pounds required.
    • Valid WA state driver’s license and clean driving record required.
    • Acquire within ninety (90) days of employment and continuously maintain status as an IATA-certified dangerous goods shipper.
    • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and follow through.
    • Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to understand complex technical specifications, documentation, and instructions.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and web-based research.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and on self-directed projects.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • International shipping experience strongly preferred.
    • Experience working with receiving entry and ERP system functions related to job role.
    • Past IATA certification for shipping dangerous goods highly preferred.
    • Experience managing and overseeing standard supplies for an office.
    • Experience working with INGOs or handling of health commodities a plus.

  • Qualifications
    • Lead Teacher Certified by MA Department of Early Education and Care (EEC)
    • Bachelors degree or Associates Degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in an early childhood setting
    • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work cooperatively and communicate well with others
    • Reliable and conscientious
    • Computer skills (MS Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, Kaymbu, COR Advantage)
    • Willingness to increase knowledge in the field
    • Certificate of CPR and first aid training (recommended)
    • Organized, ability to multitask
    • Ability to work independently
    • Attentive to confidentiality of records and other information
