    The Center for Behavioral Science Research (CBSR) at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated full-time research assistant with experience in conducting human subjects research. The research assistant will primarily work on an NIH-funded clinical trial to motivate cessation of tobacco smoking in dental patients using digital health technology. Duties include study protocol development and intervention delivery, IRB submission, study participant recruitment and enrollment, data collection and management, preparation and distribution of reports, liaising with technology partners, literature reviews and general research tasks. Applicants must possess a BA or BS degree in psychology, public health or related social science field plus two or more years of research experience working with human subjects, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a strong interest in the application of mobile technology to improve population health. Previous experience using mobile or electronic health for behavior change is preferred but not required. The research assistant will join a growing dynamic group of health psychologists and behavioral medicine experts, research staff and postdoctoral associates working on several ongoing projects, and will be afforded the opportunity for professional development. Salary and benefits are competitive. The Boston University Medical Campus is comprised of the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, the School of Medicine, and the School of Public Health, providing a strong collaborative interdisciplinary environment with a wealth of resources, including the NIH-funded Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) which provides an array of services, collaborative opportunities, pilot funding, and training. Robust collaborations with the surrounding community supports dissemination research.

    Fluent computer skills (Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Some early evening and Saturday hours may be necessary. The position also requires 1- 3 years experience in human subjects research, strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, the capacity to work with a team and engage in a professional manner with research participants.
