  • Responsibilities

    As a bioinformaticist, the primary responsibilities include applying novel machine learning and other bioinformatics analytic methods to the complex data collected from the Framingham Heart Study's data as well as external research collaborators for the identification of genetic/genomic and cardiovascular and other risk factors in cognitive aging and dementia. Additional responsibilities will include the development of statistical pipeline for analyzing complex genetic and genomic data, management of brain aging phenotypes, including novel ones captured in a digital format (e.g. digital pen, digital voice, smartphones, wearables, MRI and PET scans, etc.) The position requires advanced programming skills for data analytics as well as building on an existing codebase to add features extraction of novel computed measures. Additional data processing will include use of software applications to analyze digital voice, imaging and other digital data files. The incumbent is expected to be proficient in scripting for file and text manipulation as required for common data management tasks.

    Required Skills

    • Master’s degree preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 1-2 years of experience
