  • Responsibilities

    Postdoctoral research positions are available in Trojanowska laboratory in the Arthritis and Autoimmune Diseases Center to investigate pathogenesis of scleroderma, a complex autoimmune disease characterized by inflammation, vasculopathy and skin and organ fibrosis. The current investigations focus on the mechanisms of vascular disease using novel transgenic mouse models that recapitulate vascular and lymphatic defects observed in scleroderma patients. The second area of research include investigations on the mechanisms of pulmonary hypertension (PAH) focusing on the cross-talk between endothelial and smooth muscle cells.

    We seek highly motivated and qualified candidates with a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD who will be responsible for designing and implementing experimental protocols. Candidates with a strong background in cell and molecular biology or related fields demonstrated by the first author peer-reviewed publication are encouraged to apply. Prior experience with working with rodent models will also be very useful. Proficiency in written and oral English communication is a requirement.
