PATH is seeking a highly motivated individual to support its growing Malaria portfolio in Senegal.
PATH is seeking a Senior Finance and Operations Manager to provide support for project activities in Senegal and west Africa region, for a fixed term employment of 1 Year renewable. The Sr. Finance and Operations Manager will provide financial, operational, and contractual support to the Malaria and NTD team in Senegal, supporting project activities for the Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases (MNTD) program and west Africa including the Senegal Country program. The Sr. Finance and Operations Manager will work closely with project staff to support project activities, day-to-day project operations, and tracking of contractual and financial deliverables ; additionally, they will work with team leaders, technical team members, and the Business Development partner to develop proposal budgets for new opportunities. S/he will provide guidance regarding donor requirements on Grants, Contracts and Cooperative Agreements; ensure financial allowability, allocability, and reasonableness of costs; and provide oversight and guidance to financial management practices. This position will supervise a project administrator, and report to the West Africa Regional Malaria Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
OPERATIONAL OVERSIGHT
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
In coordination with project leadership, develop budgets and financial reports and advise teams on long-range budget/planning issues; monitor expenses and budgets; and conduct financial analyses including forecasting and pipelines.
Develop quarterly cash expenditure projections, in accordance with PATH procedures, for use in the PATH Zambia quarterly cash request.
Contribute to donor narrative reporting.
Prepare financial reports and accompanying narratives in accordance with donor reporting requirements and internal PATH rhythm of business requirements
Assist with internal and external audits and take prompt action to respond to findings.
Develop, track, and monitor project budgets (including internal initiatives) in Business World.
Oversee preparation of financial transaction documentation to ensure it is complete, accurate, and complies with applicable polices and internal procedures; review documentation prepared by other team members to ensure quality of work, including accuracy, attention to detail, and compliance.
Approve project expenses in Business World in line with PATH and donor policies.
Review project expenses and conduct variance analysis to ensure efficient burn rates, sharing updates with Responsible Project Managers (RPM) monthly or as requested.
Forecast project expenditures in support of pipeline analysis monthly or as requested.
Provide monthly cash flow projections relevant to projects.
