    PATH has an office established in Myanmar since late 2013. The PATH Myanmar Country Program is currently implementing a broad portfolio of activities on a range of health issues including nutrition, vaccines and immunization systems strengthening, maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health, and infectious diseases.

     

    PATH is seeking a TECHNICAL OFFICER, TUBERCULOSIS (TB) who will provide technical assistance and implement USAID HIV/TB AIS project in Myanmar under the supervision of Project Manager.  The specific responsibilities include:

     

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Provide technical assistance to develop strategies on TB prevention, diagnosis, and treatment services, while also testing, optimizing, and scaling technology and differentiated service delivery innovations.
    • Provide technical support for the country’s adoption of new global normative guidance and new innovations policies as well as timely scale-up.
    • Support the development of TB-specific training materials, standard operating procedures, operational manuals, job aids and supportive supervision tools needed to ensure technical excellence, quality, and good client outcomes.
    • Participate in technical working groups, workshops, task force groups, and expert committees to identify gaps in TB diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
    • Coordinate and work with consortium partners, and broader TB partners for implementation of AIS project
    • Support the development of annual work plans, progress reports, and other required deliverables.
    • Ensure that all the project documents and reports are filed and updated.
    • Provide inputs to the budget revision and financial report process.
    • Other tasks required by Technical Lead (TB) and Project Manager

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

     

    • University degree on medicine, public health and other relevant fields
    • A minimum of five years of relevant working experiences in public health, of which three years in TB field
    • Demonstrated strong understanding of recent innovations in TB programming
    • Demonstrated experience in developing tools, training materials, SOPs and reports for TB programming
    • Excellent written and oral Myanmar and English.
    • Willingness and ability to travel within Myanmar to project areas.
    • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
    • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Qualifications

     REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
    • Internship in a full service agency in the area of interactive marketing preferred
    • Effective writing skills
    • Basic knowledge of interactive media concepts and methodologies
    • MS Office: Internet Explorer, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Presentation skills and experience are highly desirable
    • Familiarity with one or more of the following media planning tools is desirable: TNS, Scarborough, Media Monitors, Nielsen, Arbitron, Tactician, Strata and Simmons
    • Third-party ad serving, tracking and reporting expertise (e.g. Double-click)
    • Experience or related intern assignments in retail, restaurant, franchisee operations or Interactive advertising is highly desirable
    • Employed at or intern role at full service agency is highly desirable
