    College Advising Corps - Boston University (CAC-BU) is an affiliate of College Advising Corps, a national non-profit organization that works to increase the rates of college enrollment and completion among low-income, first-generation college and underrepresented high school students. CAC-BU AmeriCorps College Advisers are well-trained, recent college graduates who serve full-time in a high-need Boston-area high school. Advisers support students to navigate the complex processes of college admissions and matriculation and securing financial aid; foster a college-going culture within the schools they serve; serve for 1-2 years in a paid AmeriCorps service position and receive a living allowance as well as a benefits package including health and dental, educational award, and tuition remission. Currently accepting applications for positions in 2020-2021 cohort (July 2020-June 2021).

A bachelors degree is required for this position (B.A. or B.S.), preferably earned in May 2020, December 2019, May 2019, or December 2018. Boston natives who earned their bachelor's degree outside Boston, or bachelor's degree graduates of other College Advising Corps partner institutions are also preferred. Work or volunteer experience in K-12 education, college admissions, youth work, non-profit, or community service is preferred, but not required.
