Physics serves as one of the primary courses in which students begin to cultivate critical thinking skills that are vital to their well-being in future career opportunities. A Physics TA will assist the professor in the preparation, distribution, collection, and grading of materials use in development of these skills and abilities within students.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Required Skills
TAs should have good attention to detail; be well organized; a strong understanding of physics concepts; capable of logically thinking through a problem; maintain clear communication with professor and keep student confidentiality; work reliably and on time with regards to deadlines; have computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
Classroom environment can be stressful at times due to the demands of grading deadlines and work done in preparation for class. Physical labor is minimal.
