The Associate Director is a key operational manager for the Technology & Policy Research Initiative (TPRI).

• Develops strategy for and manages business development, fundraising, and business partner relationships, including identifying prospects, soliciting potential business partners and funders, writing proposals and progress reports.
• Manages communications including, writing blog posts, magazine articles, the TPRI newsletter and website, social media, and journalist communications. 
• Contributes to the development of, plans, and executes TPRI events.
• Develops and manages the administrative processes required for new employees and visiting researchers.
• Sets goals and determines how to accomplish them in line with broad guidance from the Executive Director.

Required Skills

• This job requires strong management capabilities, strong communications skills, and advanced analytical skills
• BA/BS is required but a Masters of Communications and/or a Masters of Business Administration is strongly preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required
