CitySpace, the state-of-the-art venue of WBUR, Boston’s NPR Station, is seeking an experienced, senior events producer to serve as the editorial lead for all WBUR programs, featuring interviews with leading voices, policy experts, newsmakers, and artists. The Senior Events Producer will work closely with the CitySpace director and assistant director to conceive, produce and deliver a rich and exciting lineup of editorial programs including reoccurring popular series; single-topic forums; artistic performances, and story-driven events.
Working in a fast-paced environment, we are looking for a full-time, deadline-driven senior producer who will have expert knowledge and good communication skills in video and live event production environments. Candidates are expected to have a keen sense of how to bring journalism to life on stage and on screen. Storytelling should course through this person's veins. Familiarity with public media particularly WBURs journalistic brand and mission is a major plus. The ideal candidate will have exceptional editorial judgment and be adept at multitasking and problem-solving. Qualified candidates should have significant experience developing journalistic conversations and experiences for live audiences. The job requires extensive knowledge of and the ability to develop rapport with established and emerging leaders in an array of fields locally and nationally. At CitySpace, events are live expressions of our journalism and bring to life the award-winning reporting of the WBUR’s editorial division. The Senior Events Producer reports to the CitySpace Director and is a member of the CitySpace events team.
