    Coordinator, Professional Counseling Internships Lindenwood University 204 reviews - Saint Charles, MO Part-time The site supervisor for professional counseling internships is responsible for the oversight of internship applications and databases. This position conducts internship site audits and schedules in-person site visits as directed. Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators Job Responsibilities * Maintains current and accurate knowledge about internship requirements for all phases of professional counseling internship experiences * Assists in the implementation of professional counseling program internship requirements * Collects and retains professional counseling internship applications, working with students and their advisors to successfully complete submissions * Collects, prepares, and presents data regarding student enrollment, progress, and performance * Coordinates with the assistant dean to plan, organize, and, conduct professional counseling internship site audits Service Orientation * Assists in the facilitation and distribution of information related to internships Communication, Collaboration, and Teamwork * Engages collaboratively with the assistant dean, academic advisors, internship applicants, and internship faculty to facilitate successful internship experiences * Coordinates with off campus internship site supervisors to organize and complete internship audits and site visits each semester * Communicates issues related to internships to the appropriate parties Planning, Organizing, and Accountability * Maintains the professional counseling internship database and internship site contacts list * Maintains current and accurate knowledge of Missouri and Illinois State requirements associated with professional counseling internships and professional counseling licensure Initiative, Problem-Solving, and Decision Making * Facilitates resolutions to student and internship application issues * Continually develops more efficient and effective processes for applications and site visits * Maintains accurate information for all web and print media Support the Mission of the University * Supports the mission of the university and serve as an ambassador of the university * Supports the mission of the School of Education and serves as a positive ambassador for all programs Job may require other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.) * Masters degree in counseling, with an emphasis in professional counseling required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills and abilities commonly associated with this position. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures * Knowledge of LPC licensure requirements in Missouri * Comprehensive knowledge of professional counseling internship processes and requirements * Strong technology skills * Knowledge and ability to work with data collection systems and procedures, including Excel * Strong leadership and coaching skills * Excellent organization skills * Effective interpersonal communication skills, including presentation skills * Ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, academic advisors, professors, internship site supervisors, and administrators Work Environment Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. * General office environment * This position requires physical visits and transportation to and from various locations * Some evenings and weekends may be required Physical Abilities - Activities that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
