AQUATICS PROGRAMMING INTERNSHIP posted 05/15/2018 Lindsey Wilson College is offering an internship position for Aquatics Programming to run from May 2018 to mid-August 2018. Lindsey Wilson, a member of the Mid-South Conference and the NAIA, sponsors twenty-seven sports and has 700+ student-athletes participating in the various programs. This is a perfect opportunity for a Recreation/Tourism or Sports Management major. The selected candidate will be provided housing for their service. The candidate will assist in the daily scheduling of the pool and multi-purpose room; develop, organize, market, and manage all pool programming and other relative facility activities including, but not limited to: swimming lessons, lifeguard classes, patron pool parties, and fitness classes; assist with the scheduling of lifeguards for open swim and special events; assist in the management of lifeguard staff, including audits and running of in-service trainings; lifeguard as needed; organize, manage, and staff, large nonprofit groups , school groups, and camps use of the facility; conduct bi-monthly facility safety checks; record and report monthly pool programming and attendance numbers to the Aquatics Director; develop, organize, market, and manage at least one revenue-producing event; and promote water safety education within Adair County. Required certifications include: Current lifeguard and First Aid/CPR/AED Certifications. Preferred candidates will have a working knowledge of the HyTek Systems (Team Manager and Meet Manager), and will have swim camp or age group coaching experience.
